13. MA Program: "Intellectual Encounters of the Islamicate World", Freie
Universitaet Berlin

The FU Berlin is offering an MA program to understand more about the deep and
diverse links between the Muslim, Jewish and Christian    intellectual contributions
during the Medieval period, to learn from internationally acclaimed guest lecturers
from all over the world,  to study together with a small group of about 20 students,
many of whom from the Middle East, and to combine the flexibility of an online
degree program with the advantages of gaining international experience.
The offer includes a one-year, English-taught MA degree awarded by FU Berlin,
in-class meetings in Istanbul and Berlin, no tuition fees, monthly scholarships for
Palestinian and Israeli nationals including coverage of travel and accommodation
expenses and a personalized supervision structure

16. Summer Abroad Programme: “Art Treasures of Konya: Medieval Islamic Art and
Architecture II”, Department of Art History, Necmettin Erbakan University, Konya, 11

This unique cultural programme’s purpose is the study of medieval Anatolian art and
architecture by focusing on the spectacular examples of medieval Islamic art and
architecture of Konya on site. The course will combine lectures and many field trips
to monuments and museums in Konya, taking full advantage of the opportunity to study
art in context.
