4. Conference: "Elements of Proof and Commercial Litigations in the Mediterranean
(15th – 19th Century), Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, 18-20 June 2015 
 
The conference will focus on the encounters, compromises and possible exchanges
which resulted from conflicts involving economic actors from Europe to the Ottoman
Empire and North Africa. It will analyze the procedures of dispute resolution
through the production and circulation of certificates and written testimonies.

This workshop will focus on legal issues relating to Palestinians who seek asylum in
the UK.  It will examine the historical situation of Palestine refugees,
international law of Palestine refugees and Article 1D’s interpretations and it will
litigate asylum claims in the UK and interpret the ECJs El Kott decision and UNHCR
interpretive notes under UK asylum law and practice.
